Telarus delivers cost-effective mobility
You may have read in the news that we have moved into the mobile space
and now have a range of extremely aggressively priced plans available.
Telarus Mobile offers a range of data, voice and messaging offerings
targeted at home, business and corporate customers.
Under the Telarus data service, we are offering customers data access
using GPRS, enabling access to email, the Internet and business productivity
applications.
The voice services offering provides customers with voice services Australia-wide
and customers can also request access to IDD (International Direct Dial)
and International Roaming with call wait, call hold and call conference
all supported on the network (handset dependent).
Messaging options include all the expected capabilities including Voicemail,
SMS and MMS messaging as well as a “CallScreen” option, which
allows a live operator to take a message for the user using a set greeting.
The message is then sent via SMS to the user’s Telarus Mobile handset.
Our initial mobile customers are reporting that they’re saving
up to 60 per cent on their calls so we can feel comfortable in saying
that our mobile plans are aggressively priced in the market.
We’re able to deliver those kinds of savings through well thought
out plans that have been designed to offer ‘real value’ to
our customers. Instead of depending on the marketing hype of capped plans,
which seemingly offer massive amounts of airtime for a low monthly fee
by simply over-pricing the calls. At Telarus, our offers are clearly
defined and our plans are transparent.
Staff Additions and Changes
While a few waist lines may have grown over the Easter period, Telarus
has been going through some very healthy expansion of our own with the
addition of a number of new staff members and some of our existing staff
being promoted into more senior positions.
The principals of one of our Channel Partners, Message Community Telephone
Company, liked working with us so much that they have decided to take
roles at Telarus!
Steve Dark and Lorraine Zerafa have both joined Telarus in the roles
of Product Manager and Company Accountant respectively. Both Steve and
Lorraine also formerly worked with Jules Rumsey, Telarus Managing Director,
at Saise.
In the Engineering Team, Marcus Kearney has also joined as a Field Services
Technician, Mario Horvat has come on board as a Systems Administrator
and Robert Grace, our ever diligent NOC Team Leader, has been promoted
into a newly created position of Network Engineer.
These placements were required to assist with growth in phone system
deployments and systems related projects (e.g. colocation, managed servers
and storage) and to support the release of our carrier class VoIP gateway
product later this year.
In the Sales Team, Ivan Sikic has joined as an Account Representative
in our Direct Sales Team and Brett Marler, who has been a dedicated member
of our Engineering Team, has moved across into a Solutions Engineer position,
also working in our Direct Sales Team.
And we are currently recruiting for a number of roles, including two
Account Executive positions (one in the Direct Sales Team and one in
the Channel Sales Team), a new NOC Analyst and a Technical Support Representative.
Needless to say, we are very focused on ensuring that we are well staffed
to support our growth and the ever expanding needs of our customers.
The pitter patter of little feet…
If MD Jules Rumsey and Network Engineer Robert Grace both look very
happy but lacking in sleep of late, the arrival of Ms Xelie Nerys Rumsey
and Ms Kathlen Grace towards the end of last year might explain it!
It’s rumoured that both of them are already showing an interest
in computers.
Congratulations to both fathers!
