Coming soon: Telarus VoIP Gateway

Product engineering and development of Telarus’ VoIP Gateway is continuing steadily and we will soon be in a position to offer a solid, industry leading product to our customers.

Initial testing has been completed and it is expected that product trials will occur over the next 2-3 months with a view to launching the product early in the second half of 2008. Please speak to your Telarus Account Team if you would like to be included in the trials.

Unlike residential grade VoIP offerings such as Skype and Engin, services delivered via the Telarus VoIP Gateway will offer a stable, secure, high quality service for business use. This will be achieved by leveraging the quality of service capabilities of our Cisco Next Generation Network and by the deployment of a carrier-class VoIP gateway platform.

Over time, it is widely anticipated that many businesses will begin to use such services in preference to PSTN and ISDN due to advantages in flexibility, scalability and cost. Properly engineered, such services can also offer greater reliability than PSTN and ISDN.
