What are your key responsibilities?
- To manage existing customers changes, upgrades and migrations.
- Voice and mobile bill analysis and preparation of proposals.
- Liaise with customers over complex faults, working with the Solutions Engineers, the Customer Service Team and the NOC.
- Play an active role in maintaining regular contact with customers and Solutions Partners.
How long have you been in the ICT industry?
Just over a year.
What areas/technologies do you specialize in?
As I work with the Account Executives on a wide range of opportunities I am across all the products Telarus brings to the market place.
What have been the highlights of your career?
Coming from the Finance industry to the Telecommunications industry, has been a breath of fresh air. Working for Telarus has been very exciting for me as we have a lot of fantastic new products emerging at the moment.
With our Virtual Server, Video Conferencing and Mobile products I see a bright future with Telarus. I have learnt so much and have seen the other side of telecommunications and feel privileged to be working with a great team with so much experience.
What challenges have you faced in your career (and how did you overcome them)?
I was left the mantle of running the Money Market for my previous employer and had to train up two people beneath me after the shock resignation of the previous manager. To battle this while still doing my job I wrote manuals for each position and employed them to fill in the gaps in the learning of the two others I was training at the time.
Which technology is going to have the biggest impact on the industry in the next 5 years?
Globalisation has resulted in the need for regular communication between clients, partners and colleagues across the globe which can cost a lot of time and money.
With the world economy slowing, Australian business has a need to cut costs where ever possible. One major cost which technology can provide a remedy for is travel. Through greater bandwidth available today we can offer video conferencing solutions with a very quick return on investment, particularly when you begin to consider plane tickets, transfers, accommodation, food expenses etc… It all begins to add up very quickly.
Video conferencing offers significant benefits by bringing the world to the board room or meeting room in an inexpensive, engaging and very efficient manner.
